Laser technology is revolutionizing treatment for hair removal and an array of skin conditions. The Peer Laser Center offers a comprehensive range of procedures designed to remove unwanted hair and renew the skin for a smoother, more youthful look.

HAIR REMOVAL

Our Cutera CoolGlide® laser safely and effectively removes unwanted hair of the face and body. Facial hair of the lip, chin and sideburns are most commonly requested. Underarms, bikini areas and nipples are other popular areas. The CoolGlide® laser utilizes a chilled hand piece that reduces the stinging sensation. No anesthesia is required but some patients like a topical numbing cream. Most areas require three to six treatments to permanently reduce the number of hair follicles that are actively growing hair. As dormant follicles grow new hair they are removed with successive treatments. Typically, treatments are spaced four to six weeks apart. CoolGlide® can treat all skin types and tanned skin with no down time.

ProWaveâ„¢ is used for hair reduction on larger areas of the body, such as the back or legs. It has a larger chilled hand piece that treats all skin types quickly and safely, eliminating the need for anesthesia. Four to six treatments are usually necessary and are spaced about four to six weeks apart.
