Mesotherapy is a technique, invented in 1952 by Dr. Michel Pistor, where medication is injected into the mesoderm, the layer of fat and connective tissue under the skin. Over the past 50+ years, an excess of 15,000 physicians world-wide have used Mesotherapy on a daily basis for a variety of purposes, including overall weight loss, spot weight reduction, cellulite reduction, hair loss, scar revision and wrinkle elimination. Mesotherapy is also used to correct unevenness, lumps, or divots that develop after liposuction.

Mesotherapy Associates, P.C. is proud to offer the most advanced FDA approved laser technology. We can permanently reduce unwanted facial and body hair. Unlike many other laser therapies, our laser is safe for people of all complexions.

Laser Hair Removal

How permanent is hair removal?

The average patient in clinical studies sees a 48% reduction in hair growth after 3 treatments and up to 80% lasting reduction after 6-8 treatments (results vary). After a series of 4-6 treatments, any remaining hair will be finer and lighter in color. Blond, platinum, gray, most red, and very fine hair will not respond to this treatment. Most patients require 1-2 touch up treatments per year.

About Our Laser Technology

What type of laser do you use?

Mesotherapy Associates, PC uses the Lyra-i â„¢ Laser with a cooling sapphire tip. This is the first laser FDA approved for all skin types.

How does the laser work for hair removal?

Laser energy is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicle while your hair is in its active phase of growth. The laser light is converted into heat, causing damage to the hair follicle without harming the surrounding tissue. Hair re-growth is impeded in the damaged follicle. The sapphire tip continuously keeps your skin cool while the laser energy is absorbed below the surface.
