What is a Dermatologist?

A dermatologist is a medical doctor who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the skin, hair, and nails. Dermatologists also use various treatments to improve appearance and rejuvenate aging skin.

The educational requirements for a dermatologist include a college degree, four years of medical school, one year of internship and three additional years in a dermatology residency program.
